There is 17% increase in traffic per year in kathmandu and the government is now looking into the possibility of a metro system in the Kathmandu Valley. It will include 75km of underground and elevated railway, that follows the city’s Ring Road.The government short-listed six company in Korea, India, Canada, France and Thailand to conduct the studies and provide estimates in environmental and financial cost and the firm will be selected in mid-July.
